Follow @tannercEvery hour, on the hour, for the duration of the year 2011, a small script designed by Tanner crawled the social web in search of wishes being made by real people.
What We Wish For was a collection of those wishes.
Each wish – gathered from blogs, open Facebook conversations, Twitter, and several additional sources – was stored in a database with hundreds of thousands of other wishes. Visitors to the website were presented with a beautiful slideshow that presented each wish in‒sync with a keyword‒selected photo from a creative commons photo library.
The experience was captivating, an emotional look into what each of us wishes for. It's an enthralling story of the human condition, told exclusively through a digital medium.
